Casa dos Saberes

The Association of Creators and Promoters of Practices and Sustainable Knowledge - Casa dos Saberes, is made up of family farmers, rural producers and professionals of various backgrounds. Its objective is to promote and realize initiatives aimed at sustainable knowledge practices in the areas of education, culture, agroecology, technical support and rural extension, forestry restoration and environmental conservation, permaculture, water resources, bioconstruction and tourism.

It is an entity of public utility which acts as an incubator of projects aimed at improving the quality of life of the human being and of the environment, such as the construction of this Rural Tourism network, which was born and developed in the backyard of the house. It is a forum for discussion and stimulus for the research, creation and promotion of scientific and popular knowledge.

It is based in São Pedro da Serra itself, with a bamboo workshop for the dissemination of the use of this material for building, furniture and craft uses through courses and workshops. Visitors, schools and universities are received, carrying out and supporting pedagogical, community projects and for the exchange of knowledge and wisdom, as well as holding various cultural, artistic and agroecological activities.

A Bambuzeria Escola está em funcionamento com encontros quinzenais na Casa dos Saberes. Aprenda sobre a história do uso do bambu, espécies, técnicas de tratamento, cortes, utilizações diversas, etc e venha realmente praticar, trocando experiências e habilidades conosco!
